Inkjet printers can be categorized into three categories based on the primary use of the product: ordinary inkjet printers, digital photo inkjet printers, and portable inkjet printers.
Ordinary type inkjet printer is the most common printer at present. It has a wide range of uses. It can be used to print documents, print graphic images, or print photos using photo paper.
Digital photo inkjet printers are practically similar to those of ordinary inkjet printers in that they can be printed regardless of normal documents or photographs. However, the reason why it is divided into digital photo products is that it has a digital card reader compared to ordinary products. With the support of built-in software, it can directly connect the digital camera's digital memory card. Digital memory cards need to be determined by the digital reader of the printer and directly connected to the digital camera. Digital photos can be printed without computer support. Some digital photo printers also have LCD screens. LCD screen users can edit and set certain photos on the digital memory card so that the print job can be completed more outstandingly.
Portable ink-jet printers are those that are small in size, generally weigh less than 1,000 grams, can be easily carried, and can be powered by batteries and can be used without external AC power. This type of product is generally used in conjunction with a laptop. However, there is currently a portable digital photo inkjet printer in portable inkjet printers. It has the characteristics of two printers. Compact and portable, it can be connected directly to a digital camera without a computer.
