In our product descriptions of inkjet printers and toner cartridges, we always mention the number of pages you can print. In this way, dealers and users can easily compare our printer cartridges with other brands of cartridges. But how does the page return actually measure? And what methods do you use? Proffisy explains this
At the beginning of the time...
For a long time, there is no clear standard to determine the printing volume of inkjet printers and toner cartridges. Some printer and ink box manufacturers assume that the average coverage of A4 paper is 5%. They ran out of ink cartridges and counted the number of pages printed. However, the lack of further testing standards means that apples and oranges are still being compared. In addition, manufacturers also use other methods, resulting in more confusion.
ISO standard for page good rate
In June 2004, all of which changed when the ISO standard for printing pages printed in black toner cartridges was identified. All printer manufacturers and many manufacturers of alternative toner cartridges have accepted this standard. Since then, it has been the standard in the market. Later, the standards of color cartridges and inkjet cartridges were also issued.
The ISO standard for page yield accurately describes how testing should be performed. For example, under what conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.), the size of the paper, the print quality setting, the size of the test (at least three printers, three different ink boxes for each printer), how to handle the error information in the process of use, and even how long it should be shaken when it is close to the air. Ink cartridge。
In addition, printers and cartridges should be purchased by the three different suppliers on the open market. It is not allowed to purchase directly from the supplier.
Easy to compare
Proffisy stands for quality and transparency, so we always test the printing capacity of all inkjet printing cartridges and toner cartridges according to ISO standard. This makes our products comparable to those of other brands. This is a comprehensive and reliable test method which has been widely accepted.
